The alpha numeric group or policy number is associated with the entity that has purchased the insurance. For self-funded plans this relates to the employer paying for claims where the carrier acts as TPA. For the majority of enrollment and claims data the group relates to the employer. Values in this field are masked. Special permission required to receive unmasked values.
