Unique number of the member within the contract. Must be an identifier that is unique to the member. This column is the unique identifying column for membership and related medical and pharmacy claims, e.g. the value for person 1 is 001, person 2 = 002, etc. This value does not have to be in the 001, 002, format if the claims system numbers members differently.
