Description

In the ADH Birth Certificate data (available to state agency users), the child and parent records should be grouped by birth certificate number.

You can begin by finding the mother records in the enrollment and claims data. Then, using the Study_ID (ME998+ME013) from the enrollment record(s), find the birth certificate records that match. ME998 should match the Mother APCD Unique ID on the birth record. ME014 should match the Mother Date of Birth on the birth record (if full date of birth is not available, ME014_Year should match the birth year of the mother birth certificate record). Then, group all other birth records using the birth certificate # found on the selected Mom record.  The record(s) where the Child APCD Unique ID is populated is the child for that mother.
