Action / Resolution | Revenue codes (MC054) found on inpatient and outpatient medical claims are sometimes missing leading zeros. Corrected revenue code values for all EBD medical claims will be available in build 21C with the exception of one type of EBD medical claim called ITS. ITS claims are identified when the 7th character in the EBD medical claim number (MC004) is the character T. Revenue code values in these claims are invalid and should not be used. ITS medical claim revenue code values will be corrected in Spring 2022 for all new data. These values will not be corrected in current or historical data. Poorly formatted revenue code data is still present in data pulls from previous APCD builds. Front fill revenue codes from non-ITS claims with leading zeros. UPDATE: With the replacement of EBD data by BCBS, this issue no longer exists |
