Description | The Arkansas APCD does not have a flag identifying member locations as rural or urban. RUCA codes and county codes can be used with the 5-digit USPS ZIP code (if available) to assign these designations. Most data request data contain the first 3-digits of the USPS ZIP Code. A possible solution to find the desired designation is to find the applicable RUCA codes by 5-digit USPS ZIP Code, then using the first 3 digits of the resulting ZIP Code to match to the 3-Digit ZIP Code in the data requesters data. This should be tested thoroughly before being used to ensure it satisfies project requirements. |
