This issue is applicable to all data requests. The recommended workaround is use them in conjunction with the calculated coverage indicator flags ME018A, ME019A and ME020A (see Tip: Calculated Services Indicator Flags (ME018A, ME019A, ME020A) for more details). If users do not have access for these additional fields, join the member data to the medical, pharmacy, and/or dental claims data on carrier specific unique member ID to determine the presence of those claim types. |
